Not long to go now and the excitement is building.
I am so pleased to be part of this October’s Project Africa team.
Like other groups, we all want to go out there and work hard for the children of the Island School and the Ol Maisor community.
The support and interest in Project Africa is amazing.
There are so many William Hill colleagues who contribute to the project in different ways and it is such an honour to see what a difference all those little bits of activity and fundraising have on the community of Ol Maisor.
What I am looking forward to the most is seeing the children and sharing very basic tips, which if implemented can have a great impact.
Sounds very basic, but simply washing your hands regularly reduces diarrhea risk by up to 50% and for me it would be great to share this with the children.
Visiting the Island School will provide me the opportunity to explain the importance and benefits of washing hands regularly.
It would be a great achievement to see this practice embedded in the school.
Water is life anywhere in the world and with that there are so many things we can do to ensure we all live much healthier lives.
